AgSouth Welcomes Austin Cathcart as Loan Officer  

Statesville, N.C. (September 11, 2024): AgSouth Farm Credit is pleased to announce the appointment of Austin Cathcart as the newest Loan Officer at our Camden, SC branch office. Spencer Floyd, Regional Lending Manager, expressed his excitement over Austin’s arrival, highlighting the valuable expertise and fresh perspective he brings to the team.

Austin hails from Irmo, SC, and is a proud alumnus of Clemson University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Agricultural Education and an M.S. degree in Animal Science with a focus on Beef Cattle Production.

Before joining AgSouth, Austin taught high school agriculture at Pelion High School, specializing in Agricultural Mechanics and Environmental & Natural Resources. His passion for agriculture drives him in his role as a loan officer. "What drew me to AgSouth was the ability to help farmers and landowners grow their operations," said Austin.

Spencer Floyd noted that Camden and its surrounding area represent a high-growth sector in South Carolina. "We have loan programs for land, farms, and homes that meet the needs of this market. Austin’s background in agriculture education, coupled with his hands-on experience managing his own beef cattle and hay farm, equips him with the knowledge to effectively serve our customer base. We are thrilled to welcome him as a valuable addition to our lending team in the Upstate Region."
